A free, NGSS-aligned science curriculum built by a teacher for teachers.

THE WILD In Your Classroom (TWYC) gives students authentic, real-world encounters with wildlife science and conservation — through podcast episodes, short films, discussion guides, and student projects. Developed by a fellow science teacher Zach Rittner who has been using it in his classrooms for years.

Five ready-to-use formats let you choose what fits your classroom:
  • Current Events

  • Species Conservation

  • Discussion Questions

  • Wildlife Editorials

  • Storyline Integration.

NEW to the curriculum this year: Polar Bears of Hudson Bay, a short 20 minute film alongside two related podcast episodes.

We're offering small classroom grants to teachers who bring one or more TWYC formats into their classroom and provide feedback.

What's involved:
  • Browse the curriculum and pick a format (or a few)

  • Use it with at least one class this semester

  • Fill out an online feedback form once you've used it (i.e. which format, roughly how many students, feedback, etc.)

  • Takes just minutes to apply

That's it — no formal reports, no evaluations. Limited spots available so please be sure you can commit to using it in your classroom. Sign up using the form below and we'll let you know if you've been selected.
